An efficient way to solve disputes
Engineering Arbitration Court (TAI) of the Centro Argentino de Ingenieros (CAI) is organizing the First International Congress on Arbitration in Engineering, which will take place in BUENOS AIRES, ARGENTINA in October 2006.
This Congress aims at contributing to the prestige of the CAI, showing how its concern for the service rendered by engineers to our country has been the reason for the creation of the TAI (EAC) – in collaboration with the Professional Boards of Engineering with National Jurisdiction – for the reliable administration of arbitration.
Furthermore, our aim is that arbitrations administered by the TAI become acknowledged as advantageous resolutions for disputes, due to their institutional support, organization, regulations and staff of arbiters.
Therefore, we will present a panorama on the framework within which arbitration takes place in our region and Argentina, as well as in the rest of the world. We will also introduce the Engineering Arbitration Court (TAI) and its role in a future federal network of arbitration. Finally, we will analyze situations where the application of TAI’s method of arbitration is especially suitable, in technical, economic , commercial and scientific areas.
